Services

  • Measurement serves as the foundation for benchmarking and model calibration. We measure systems' Impulse Response and evaluate absolute/relative amplitude and phase, regardless of form, including:

    • System identification (binaural, monaural, mechanical)

    • Acoustic power, intensity, or pressure for industrial, environmental, and acoustical applications

    • Vibration acceleration or displacement

    • Psychoacoustic objective parameters

    Our measurements provide bespoke, project-based solutions that are in conformity with international and/or Swiss standards and guidelines.

  • The utilization of acoustic simulation and validation is a core aspect of our expertise:

    • Linear and non-linear Finite Element Analysis (FEA) is employed to forecast the modal behavior of systems at low frequencies, whether in acoustics, vibro-acoustics, structural dynamics, or multi-physics (electro-mechano-acoustics and reverse). This is relevant, for example, to recording studio design.

    • Boundary Element Modeling (BEM) is utilized to predict the radiation properties of vibrating systems, such as environmental noise controllers, noise sources, room acoustic treatments, and transducers. This is relevant, for example, to environmental noise barrier design.

    • Statistical Energy Analysis (SEA) is used to anticipate the flow of energy between coupled systems at mid to high frequencies.

    • Ray Tracing is applied to simulate the room acoustic impulse response above the Schröder frequency and facilitate auralization.

    As required or requested, we employ computer simulations to model the system as the design progresses. This allows us to generate the most reliable design predictions, and enables our clients to preview our design proposals before commissioning the system.

  • Founder and Lead Engineer Consultant

    Ali Sanavi holds a Bachelor of Science in Acoustics and a Master of Science in Acoustics and Audio , which he earned in 2007 and 2012 respectively, both from the University of Salford, a leading academic institution in the field of acoustic research located in Manchester. Prior to relocating to Bern, he served as an acoustic engineer on various national and international projects based in London. In 2013, he received his Diploma in Acoustics from the Swiss Acoustical Society while working in collaboration with the Bern University of Applied Sciences.

    His career also encompasses a scientific tenure at the Laboratory for Acoustics and Noise Control of the Swiss Federal Laboratories for Materials Science and Technology (Empa), where he served as a scientist researcher specializing in acoustics, audio and psychoacoustics. He published a seminal work in the field, which was peer-reviewed and accepted for publication in a prestigious international acoustics journal.
